World War II: A Unit Study

If you have not studied World War II with your students, I highly suggest it. What happened in those years is highly likely to happen again, many would say we are already heading toward it. Either way, it is an important moment in history and this unit will make the difficult topic more understandable and accessible.

If you are not subscribed to SCRIBD, we highly recommend it. Many of the books in our units are included in the subscription and it is a great homeschool tool. We were surprised to find out that it includes a free subscription to Curiosity Stream, along with other great apps. That's a homeschool bonus! All the books in this unit are available on SCRIBD. If you sign up for an account by clicking our referral link here, you will get 60 days for free, if it is a new account. This unit study covers Language Arts, History, Math, Science, and Art. You will be reading a history book and a memoir from WWII. There are many hands on activities and videos to help with comprehension. It is geared toward grades 5, 6, 7, and 8, but can be adjusted for higher or lower grades. You can find the unit on our unit studies page. This unit study contains a list of resources and  activities for you to use in your studies. Choose those that will best suit  your students, time, and learning environment. My hope is that you will enjoy  the process of learning and not feel constricted by the timeline or  activities. Make changes as they suit your needs and enjoy your time learning  together!  Our unit studies are free thanks to the generosity of our patron. If you would like to support the making of our content, become a patron here for as little as $3 per month.
