Victorian England Unit Study

Christmas is fast approaching and along with it snow and cold. Every year we read A Christmas Carol together as a family. I have taken that family tradition and turned it into a lovely unit covering the Victorian age. If you aren't a fan of Christmas, just swap out for another book by Charles Dickens as the rest of the unit is not specific to the holiday.

This unit study covers Language Arts, History, and Art. You will be crafting your own Victorian board game, watching a fascinating living history series, and reading some classic literature. It is geared toward grades 6-12 but can easily be adjusted to younger ages. You can find the unit on our unit studies page.

This unit study contains a list of resources and  activities for you to use in your studies. Choose those that will best suit  your students, time, and learning environment. My hope is that you will enjoy  the process of learning and not feel constricted by the timeline or  activities. Make changes as they suit your needs and enjoy your time learning  together!

If you are not subscribed to SCRIBD, we highly recommend it. Many of the books in our units are included in the subscription and it is a great homeschool tool. We were surprised to find out that it includes a free subscription to Curiosity Stream, along with other great apps. That's a homeschool bonus! All the books in this unit are available on SCRIBD. If you sign up for an account by clicking our referral link here, you will get 60 days for free, if it is a new account.

Our unit studies are free thanks to the generosity of our patrons. If you would like to support the making of our content, become a patron here for as little as $3 per month.
