The Phantom Tollbooth Unit Study

Updated: Sep 24

The Phantom Tollbooth is a litterary classic filled not so hidden learning. So many educational topics are covered in this book that it is almost a free for all. This is a light unit, but a great opportunity to practice skills and get them down while having a lot of fun.

This unit study covers Language Arts, Math, & Art. You will be reading some exciting, puzzly books. There are many gaming options to help students engage, along with writing and analytic activities. It is geared toward grades 4-7, but can be adjusted for other grades. You can find the unit on our unit studies page. If you want to know more about our featured board game, Mathemagician's Duel, check out our board game spotlight here.

This unit study contains a list of resources and  activities for you to use in your studies. Choose those that will best suit  your students, time, and learning environment. My hope is that you will enjoy  the process of learning and not feel constricted by the timeline or  activities. Make changes as they suit your needs and enjoy your time learning  together!

Our unit studies are free thanks to the generosity of our patron. If you would like to support the making of our content, become a patron here for as little as $3 per month.

If you are not subscribed to SCRIBD, we highly recommend it. Many of the books in our units are included in the subscription and it is a great homeschool tool. We were surprised to find out that it includes a free subscription to Curiosity Stream, along with other great apps. That's a homeschool bonus! All the books in this unit are available on SCRIBD. If you sign up for an account by clicking our referral link here, you will get 60 days for free, if it is a new account.
